Therapy

If you are seeking assistance for a mental health issue you are brave to be taking the first step by looking at my website. Often, the hardest part when deciding to look for a therapist is finding the right therapist. Someone that you feel you can speak to with openness. This is often called “having a good therapeutic fit”.

“Courage is asking for what you need”
-Brene Brown

I have worked with people from all different walks of life.  As a social worker my services are anti-oppressive and do not discriminate. My goal is to provide you with a safe space to speak about whatever issue you may be needing assistance with at this time.

My experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families.  I have expertise treating:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • PTSD
  • chronic pain
  • grief and loss
  • addictions
  • mood disorders
  • trauma and abuse
  • anger management

I also provide therapy services to individuals who have not been diagnosed with a mental illness but are seeking counselling services or coaching for other reasons such as a transitional time in life or exploration of sexual identity, gender, a divorce, workplace injury, or due to a health diagnosis such as cancer.  I provide a recovery oriented, strengths-based perspective and strive to assist clients to empower themselves.

“Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”
-Brene Brown

As a Registered Psychotherapist, my services are regulated under the Psychotherapy Act 2007 and by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.  I am also a Registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.  The college protects the public interest by regulating the practice of social work.

As a registered social worker or RSW, my services are covered under many employee benefits programs.
